What are the Patches?

After a brief assessment of the cracks, we waste no time before breaking out the trowel and going to work. We look at how our services can help make these problems go away and apply them accordingly.

Software Installation

We support most small office software. This means that we have the know-how to help you use and understand your applications to the limit of their capability. And we have the answers when it comes to problems with installation and licensing requirements for most of these software packages.

Eventually, we will be able to make baseline versions of the systems and create an image of them on DVD-ROM. We keep copies of these at the ready. This allows us to quickly confront situations like a new hire or some sort of hardware meltdown with minimal downtime to staff members.

Hardware Installation

Through our vendor relationships with equipment companies like CDW and TechData, we can offer ready access to all kinds of hardware like desktop PCs, notebooks, servers, network appliances, firewalls, power supply and cabling. Because of the strength of our relationships with the suppliers, we can sometimes offer a substantial savings. And any equipment that we purchase, we can configure at our location. This minimizes the on-site installation time which saves you the disruption that this can cause for staff members.

Network architecture

A large portion of our collective experience is in small-office network architecture. This experience has resulted in a proven methodology that addresses the basic and specific concerns of our clients. As part of our comprehensive package of hardware and software, networks we design include secure Virtual Private Networking (VPN) and system-level virus protection. A VPN can allow staff members to telecommute when appropriate.

For every network that we design for our clients, we will provide documentation including schematics. As part of our design, we offer documentation and training on the necessary backup procedures for any servers and workstations requiring them.

Vendor management

Through our partnerships with other vendors, we offer our clients project management for the following services:

  • Telephony (mobile and office)
  • Internet service provider
  • Wiring
  • Disaster recovery

We handle every aspect of your involvement with any of these vendors from soup to nuts. We take the burden of dealing with them off your plate. We can make sure that they give you quality service for a fair price.

Ongoing Support

After the initial period where we solve the big problems and get your network running like a well oiled machine, we like to offer our clients remote support. That is, in addition to on-site and telephone support, we also have the ability to fix many computing problems for staff members using remote access into the network. It saves time and money and in many situations we find it almost as effective as a site visit.

We have vast experience supporting the software packages used in these fields. For A & D firms, we are very experienced with AutoCAD and CAP. For the Legal Practice, we have long supported WestLaw and Lexis/Nexis, as well as many hourly billing packages.
